Maman will be performing a short acoustic set as the special guest at the billed LADIES @ LEPAQ gig tomorrow night. Deets:

• Time: 10.00pm (Ladies @ Lepaq starts at 9.30pm, Maman’s set will start after that)

Hijrah Maman

KALAU ada yang masih ingat, tidak berapa lama dahulu Joyah ada menulis mengenai kisah Maman yang akan melahirkan album terbaru berjudul Taqwa.

Album yang menghimpunkan lagu-lagu ketuhanan itu sudah pun berada di pasaran sekarang. Tetapi judulnya bukan lagi Taqwa sebaliknya ditukar kepada Hijrah.

Ia menampilkan sembilan lagu baru dan sebuah trek bonus, Anugerah Cinta (Warisan Wanita 2) dan diedarkan oleh Planet Spiritual di Singapura.

Para peminat tempatan boleh mendapatkan album baru Maman ini pada harga RM48 dan mengikuti perkembangannya di laman http://mamanteacherspet.wordpress.com.

Yang Joyah terharu ialah apabila dapat tahu, setiap pembelian album Hijrah Maman ini ada bahagian yang akan disumbangkan ke sebuah Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah di Singapura yang berusia 81 tahun untuk membaikpulih infrastrukturnya.

Baguslah. Joyah dengar Maman juga sudah banyak berubah. Joyah pun dah lama tak jumpa dengan orangnya sejak dia menyepikan diri dan pulang ke Singapura.

Tapi Joyah dengar April ini bekas penyanyi kumpulan Teacher’s Pet yang popular dengan lagu Warisan Wanita Terakhir itu akan datang ke ibu kota.

Mungkin jika ada kesempatan, Joyah pun mahu bertemu dengan Maman dan bertanyakan mengenai kehidupan masa kininya.
